Melbourne Health is a major public health provider centrally located in Parkville just north of Melbourne's CBD. It provides health care to one third of Melbourne's population, and it is a major teaching hospital affiliated in particular with the University of Melbourne.
 
NorthWestern Mental Health is the mental health division of Melbourne Health. Comprehensive care is provided in hospital-based and community settings to young people, adults and the aged population of the north western region of Melbourne. Four adult mental health services, an aged mental health program and Orygen Youth Health are staffed by over 1500 multidisciplinary health professionals.
