New Webinar: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Comorbidity & Young People
We have just released the first of three Modules in the new webinar training series “Autism Spectrum Disorders, Comorbidity and Young People”. The training series aims to provide an introduction to working with young people and their families who have or may have an ASD.
At the end of this training series participants will be able to:
- Discuss the rationale for detection and treatment of ASDs with young people
- Outline the core feature of autism spectrum disorders
- Identify when referral for specialist ASD assessment and/or treatment is required
- Identify strategies that can be utilised in routine clinical practice when assessing and working with young people who have or may have an ASD
Presented by consultant psychiatrist Dr. Rick Fraser, module one in the series is an overview & introduction to the area of autism spectrum disorders and young people including, definitions, core features, aetiology and impact on functioning. Modules two and three in the series which will be released later this year, will cover assessment an intervention.
