EPPIC Research Studies

EPPIC is involved in many research activities, primarily through the Orygen Youth Health Research Centre (OYH-RC).  The OYH-RC research program aims to understand the biological, psychological and social factors that influence onset, remission and relapse of mental illnesses in order to find better ways to prevent and/or reduce the impact of mental disorders for young people.

Current research relating to early psychosis include:  

• First Episode Psychosis

• 'At Risk' Studies

• Functional Recovery

• Neuroprotection

• Other research areas (e.g. suicide, substance abuse)
